I grew up in Kijabe between 1946 and 1951,having spent the first 5 years of my childhood in NKORINKORI trading center of Narok District.I visited Kijabe last year after about 50 years and met a number of people who were there in those years.No much has changed in Kajabe.AIC Mission Hospital and the American school,Rift Valley Academy are two great institutions that stand just about 5 kilometers from the old Kijabe trading center.I am greatly surprised,and very pleased to note that the name of Kijabe has not disappeared from records.
